Jeremy Enns/What You Measure Matters: Making Sense of Podcast Metrics & Setting Goals That Actually Serve You

Grow Your Podcast with Better Data

Your analytics are a gold mine of useful information when it comes to growing, improving, and setting meaningful goals around your show. And yet most podcasters don't know where to look.

This workshop will teach you to find, interpret, and leverage that data (including metrics you can't find in your hosting provider) to make smarter decisions and grow your show.

"I've done a lot of workshops. What I like about Jeremy's is that there really is stuff to learn stuff that I can incorporate immediately.

You were like, 'Hey, I'm going to actually give value and not have this be a walking infomercial about myself.'

And that's rare."

Reginald Ferguson
The Fashion Geek Podcast

"As a teacher, Jeremy is incredibly knowledgeable in his field. But he's also very genuine, and I think that's what stands out.

Quite often when I'm doing courses, I feel that a lot of it is about them, and their business, and what they want for themselves, rather than genuinely looking for the best for the cohort.

I think that is Jeremy's uniqueness."

Karen Campbell
She Runs, Eats Performs

“I appreciate how Jeremy made the environment very welcoming, easy to ask questions. He's easy to talk to, and it was also easy to choose him to work with because he's very genuine and true.”

You Spend a Lot of Time Staring at Your Show's Stats

But have you ever stopped to ask yourself:

  • What these metrics mean?
  • Whether all (or any) of the stats really worth tracking?
  • How they're supposed to help you grow your show in the first place?
  • What if there are metrics your podcast hosting provider can’t track but are actually more important than downloads and subscriptions?

For all the time we as podcasters spend worrying about our stats, it turns out, most podcasters don't really know much about how to make sense of them.

Podcast Analytics Are a Powerful Tool

At least, if you know how to use them.

The problem is most podcasters rely on download numbers alone to set goals and track their growth.

But if we're being honest, download numbers alone don't tell you much in the way of:

  • Which marketing channels are worth doubling down on
  • Identifying problematic aspects of your show's structure and opportunities for improvement
  • Whether what you're doing with your podcast is actually working for your listeners
  • Or really, all that much else...
In fact, all a download really tells you is that someone (maybe) clicked play on an episode for at least a few seconds.

Or maybe they just set your episodes to auto-download and haven't listened at all.

When it comes to using data to improve, grow, and make strategic decisions about your show, you can do better than downloads alone.

I'd like to show you how.

How It All Works

The live workshop will take place on Thursday, January 20 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 17:00 GMT.

We'll meet via Zoom, with the call details being sent over closer to the date of the workshop.

The live call will be a mix of live lectures from me, live implementation of a series of assignments, small group discussions with your fellow attendees and Q&A with me.

After the workshop, I'll be uploading the replay to your account where you'll be able to access it for life.

What's Included

Live Workshop

The workshop will take place over Zoom, with a mix of lectures, group exercises, live implementation sessions, and Q&A with me.

You'll also have lifetime access to the workshop replay.

Group Exercises

While I'll be teaching a number of concepts to help you plan out and create better episodes, the magic of these workshops always comes from the interaction with fellow attendees.

The workshop will include a series of breakout rooms to go deeper into applying the concepts to your own show.

Actionable Workbook

Before the workshop begins, I'll be sending out a (digital) workbook which will contain all the prompts and resources  related to the workshop.

There may be a few surprises included in the workbook as well 😉

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Jeremy Enns, founder of Counterweight Creative and Podcast Marketing Academy.

Over the past 5 years, my team and I have worked with dozens of brands entrepreneurs and creators, helping them generate over 50 million podcast downloads and millions of dollars in revenue.

In working behind the scenes in a diverse group of businesses, I started to recognize the recurring patterns that separate shows that grow and convert casual listeners into raving fans, clients, and customers, and shows that plateau, falter, and fizzle.

I want to help you put those lessons to work in your show and your business.
